Victor Jouaneau is the founder of the Instagram page @Africart11, dedicated to promoting contemporary African art. Currently in his final year of a Master's in Art History at Sorbonne University, he specializes in contemporary African artistic scenes. His thesis, supervised by Philippe Dagen, focuses on Ghanaian artist Amoako Boafo, a subject he explored during a research stay in Accra. With professional experiences at Sotheby's and at the Afikaris gallery, Victor is developing both theoretical and practical expertise in the African art market. Through Africart11, which brings together nearly 15,000 followers, he highlights emerging artists, builds a network of collectors, and contributes to the international recognition of this still underrepresented scene.
